RubyEyes is a MacOS tool for intermediate Japanese learners, even for low intermediate learners, it sits on the menubar accessible from any app, it providing OCR translation and furigana generation in Japanese, it helps Japanese learners to have more immersion with focused quick translation

It can help you play those PC98 classic game you always wanted to play in Japanese on your computer, the iOS version can be useful to trans-learn games in gaming consoles and some books and texts, don't waste any opportunity to have more immersion.
What is RubyEyes
It helps you study and translate not only specific words but you can also run MacOS in Japanese and translate alerts configurations and menus and emails on demand to increase immersion.
1. Open the app
Conveniently launch from the menu bar with left click
2. Dismiss
Left click again to dismiss
3. Release
Right click to release on the desktop
4. Translate
Position over the text to translate.
5. Settings
Right click over the menu icon to access settings and the configuration panel
6. Adjust
Adjust the size and color fonts and transparency.
7. Customize
Fine tune the size shape and zoom to have better control of the translation to not spoil your learning.
8. Works online and offline
Offline mode allows you to translate words and generate furigana without internet without contextual translation
9. Contextual Translation
For a more accurate contextual translation powered by Google a subscription is necessary but the app works offline
iOS version
Complement your learning with the upcoming iOS version. You can use the camera to perform live translations and take pictures of you text*, save the words you translate into custom groups to practice with a convenient random quiz that alternates the questions between Japanese-English English-Japanese for a more complete learning
